You heard screaming it’s calling you out
And no one told you but you know it’s all about
The way it felt to see yourself
You’re lashing out
So put that frame back on the shelf
You cried wolf, the tears they soaked your fur, the blood dripped down your face
You said I was your son
Don’t hold back you can be a better man if you run as fast as you can
You told me I’ve got time
I let you know down, I let you down you know it now x2
I should have known when to calm down
The walls were spinning around and round
I wish I knew when to calm down
You cried wolf, the tears they soaked your fur, the blood dripped down your face
You said I was your son
Don’t hold back you can be a better man if you run as fast as you can
You told me I’ve got time
And I said father where have you been all this time?
Help me fix this broken heart of mine
Stay with me until my life is through
And until that day I will follow you
One of my favorite albums of all time. Turnover really hit a sound here that resonates with me deeply, and I often find myself coming back to this record and falling in love with it all over again. The drums and bass are greatly underrated on this album, creating their own unique melodies that fit within the song and create something new rather than just follow the guitars. Nothing beats the somehow joyful and somber sound of this record. Rob Carpenter
